Case sent to Cabinet to withdraw out-of-turn promotions, Additional Advocate General KP:Photo:File
Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has taken a principled decision to withdraw out-of-turn promotions.
The case of implementation of out-of-turn promotions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police was heard in the Supreme Court. Additional Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that the case has been sent to the cabinet to withdraw the out-of-turn promotions in the light of the orders of the Supreme Court.
He further said that a committee has been formed to return out-of-turn promotions of police officers. One month time should be given to complete the process.
The Supreme Court has sought a report from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 6 weeks on the implementation of out-of-turn promotions of police officers. Punjab and other provinces have already withdrawn out-of-turn promotions of police officers.
