Karachi: The temperature in the city has exceeded 40 degrees, the people are sweltering in the afternoon, the weather in the city is likely to remain hot and humid on Sunday as well.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 40.2 degrees Celsius while the humidity in the air remained at 25%, due to which the feeling of heat remained the same as the actual temperature and there was no partial heat wave.

According to the forecast of the Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain hot and humid on Sunday, during which the maximum temperature may exceed 38 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature can be recorded between 46 and 48 degrees in various districts of central and upper Sindh, today there is a possibility of light rain with thunder/dust in Qamber Shahdadkot, Jacobabad and Shikarpur.

On Saturday, the highest temperature in rural Sindh was recorded at 48.5 degrees Celsius in Shaheed Benazirabad.
