Peshawar: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa directed to give free books and bags to school students.

According to the details, a meeting regarding the preparation of the development program for the next fiscal year was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur.

In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that such projects should not be included in the annual development program which cannot be completed for years and the development program should be made realistic.

The Chief Minister directed that provision of facilities in merged districts and other remote areas should be given first priority, realistic timelines should be set for progress on development projects.

Ali Amin Gandapour said that instead of constructing new buildings, attention should be given to providing facilities in existing hospitals, promoting the cultivation of profitable crops like olives and saffron, and small checks for wise use of water in rainfed areas. Work should be done on the construction of dams.

The chief minister also directed to start air ambulance service in the province from the next financial year.

He directed that instead of constructing new buildings, new schools should be opened in rented buildings wherever needed and children should be given bags with free textbooks.
