Major decision regarding summer vacations in educational institutes in view of extreme heat

In view of the intense heat, a major decision has been taken regarding summer vacations in educational institutions.

Punjab Education Department has announced the proposed schedule of summer vacations in schools and colleges due to increase in heat intensity in the month of May.

As per the schedule, the summer vacation will start from 7th June 2024 and the educational institutions will open on 19th August 2024.

Apart from this, Punjab Education Department will issue notification of holidays in the third week of May.

On the other hand, due to the increase in heat intensity in Sindh, summer vacations are likely to be announced soon.
