Karachi: The Sindh government is continuing its campaign against drug dealers, while due to the strong prosecution of the Excise and Narcotics Control Department, 7 accused have been sentenced by the courts in 6 drug cases in Hyderabad district during the month of April.

In the case of possession of 1400 grams of hashish registered within the limits of Market police station of Hyderabad, Fayyaz alias Tucker Qureshi was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment and a fine of one lakh by the special judge, for possession of 2500 grams of hashish within the limits of Hali Road police station. Shafiq alias Gibran and Lal Muhammad Qambrani, two accused in the crime, were sentenced to 10 years in prison and a fine of one lakh rupees.

The court has sentenced the accused Ehtsham Yousafzai to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. The accused Naseem Khan Swati was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 50 thousand rupees for the crime of possessing 530 grams of hashish.

The court has sentenced the accused Muhammad Mustabeen to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of one lakh for the crime of 1070 grams of hashish in the limits of Pinyari police station.
