Islamabad: The High Court dismissed the plea against the non-extension of the contract of the FIA ​​employees.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of the Islamabad High Court issued a written order to dismiss the application against the non-extension of the employment contracts of three employees of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

According to the court order, Komal Anwar, Tanveer Ahmed and Farhan Ali had challenged the non-extension of the employment contract in the Islamabad High Court. In 2019, the three employees were recruited in FIA Cybercrime as sub-inspectors on contract basis. According to the report of the Department Selection Committee, the performance of the three employees was not good.

According to the order, departmental inquiries are also underway against the three employees. The Department Selection Committee has also raised questions on the role of the three employees. At this stage, the extension of the employment contract of these employees cannot be said to be a violation of fundamental rights. Hence the application of these employees is dismissed.
