The Accountability Court of Islamabad canceled the arrest warrants of former Prime Minister, PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Uzma Adil in the LNG reference.
A request was filed in the accountability court of Judge Nasir Javed Rana to cancel the arrest warrant on behalf of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s lawyer, Barrister Zafarullah.
Barrister Zafarullah took the position in the application that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was coming to the court, was on his way, there was some delay in reaching the court.
Barrister Zafarullah also said in his application that the court issued warrants for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s failure to arrive on time.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana of Accountability Court canceled the arrest warrant of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Uzma Adil while accepting the request of Barrister Zafarullah.
Earlier, the same accountability court today issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Uzmi Adil in the LNG reference.
A non-bailable arrest warrant was issued for Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s non-appearance by the court.
