California: Technology company Google is going to introduce audio emojis for its smartphone users.
According to 9 to 5 Google, the ‘Audio Emoji’ in the Google Phone app consists of six different emoji sounds. These sounds include clapping, drumming and crying, among others. Users will be able to use emojis during calls and emojis will be heard by people on both sides.
There are currently two ways for users to access Audio Emoji. For one, a button is provided in the overflow menu. In addition, a chip appears on the calling interface that can be used to send emoji. However, it is not clear why there are two ways to send emojis.
Google is currently testing this update on a few users with the aim of rolling it out to all users while fixing the bugs.
