Quetta: Due to the strike of poultry owners in Balochistan, the price of chicken meat has reached 1200 rupees per kg.
The Poultry Association has been on strike for five consecutive days, refusing to supply chicken or meat as per the official price list, due to which almost all the shops are closed.
Broiler meat is being sold in black at Rs 1000 to Rs 1200 per kg at some shops in various areas including Kasi Road.
The shopkeepers say that we are getting expensive goods from behind due to which we cannot sell meat at the rates given by the district administration, the price list given by the government is not available to us.
The buyers are worried due to non-availability of chicken meat and it is available in black and they have demanded the government to supply the goods at the official price list.
