Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s order to crack down heavily on gangs involved in the sale and purchase of drugs
Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi tasked the IG Islamabad Police and the entire team to improve public order in Islamabad and suppress criminal gangs.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi chaired an important meeting regarding the public order situation in Islamabad in which IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi gave a detailed briefing about the law and order situation.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi while ordering a strong crackdown against the gangs involved in the sale and purchase of drugs, directed that the sale of other narcotics including ice outside the educational institutions will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict action will be taken against drug dealers.
Mohsin Naqvi ordered effective action against beggar mafia and professional beggars. He directed to ensure foolproof security of foreign nationals and also made a principled decision to form a special protection force for the security of foreign nationals in Islamabad.
The Federal Interior Minister while ordering to ensure 100% registration of FIR said that non-registration or delay of FIR is not acceptable in any way. Action will be taken against the concerned police officer if FIR is not registered.
Mohsin Naqvi ordered immediate disposal of Islamabad Police promotion cases and directed recruitment to all vacant posts. He said that measures will be taken to make the salaries of Islamabad Police equal to those of Punjab Police.
