Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a summary of the increase in privileges of provincial ministers and advisors has been prepared.
In a summary sent to the Chief Minister by the administration department, it has been suggested to increase the fund allocated for house rent, subsidy and renovation from 5 lakh to 10 lakh rupees. It has been proposed to increase it to Rs.2 lakh per month from Rs.
It should be noted that 15 ministers, 5 advisers and 4 assistants are part of the special government team in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The bill will be presented in the assembly for approval. On the other hand, Advisor on Finance Muzamil Aslam expressed his ignorance of any such summary and said that he will see when the summary comes.
On the other hand, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Office of Advisor Information has said that the proposal is still in the initial stages because the privileges of ministers and advisors of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are still negligible compared to those of Punjab and Sindh.
He said that there are only 7 residential facilities for provincial ministers while 17 ministers and advisors live in private or rented houses for which the construction of official residences is estimated to be billions of rupees, instead of constructing new residences. It is proposed to increase house subsidy.
