Karachi: Sindh High Court rejected 48 petitions related to regularization of thousands of employees of Sui Southern Gas Company.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Yusuf Ali Saeed heard the petitions related to the regularization of employees of Sui Southern Gas. Among those who filed the petition are 3350 non-permanent employees of SSGC.
Shuaa-ul-Nabi Advocate, the petitioner’s lawyer, had submitted that in 2018, the court had regularized more than 500 employees. Based on this judgment, these petitions were filed. Earlier decisions set precedents for later cases, but this decision was overruled.
On the other hand, the People’s Labor Union says that they will challenge the decision in the Supreme Court.
