Peshawar: Justice Shakeel Ahmed of the High Court remarked in the case related to power cutting that the electricity theft is not done by the common consumer and you do not lay hands on those who are doing it, the power theft is done by the manufacturer and they are causing suffering to the people.
During the hearing on the petition filed against cutting the electricity of Matni area. Adnan Khan Yousafzai, advocate, said that the electricity has been cut for a year and people are facing difficulties. Lawyer Pesco said that electricity has been cut off due to people not paying bills.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed remarked that you should feel the suffering of people, if there is no electricity, there are many problems, people from your department are involved in electricity theft, don’t you know? Institutions do not work because of which there is loss.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed remarked that if you realize a little, then something can be fixed, take action against those who do not pay bills, but give electricity to those who are paying bills, what do you say to those who pay bills? are punishing.
Justice Sahibzada Asadullah said in his remarks that when you provide electricity, people will collect the bill, when you do not provide electricity, people will pay the bill.
The petitioner said that the electricity in our area has been disconnected for a year, there are many problems due to lack of electricity, he has been forced to commit suicide.
The court sought a report from Pesco on the next hearing. The court said that you should submit the report and we will decide this case at the next hearing. The hearing was adjourned till April 30.
