Islamabad / Quetta: The Supreme Court issued notice to the Election Commission and other parties including the Attorney General on the petition against re-election in 4 polling stations of PB9.
In four polling stations of Balochistan PB9, a hearing was held on the petition against re-election of Nawab Genghis Khan of PML-N.
Lawyer Ali Zafar argued that Nawab Chingiz Khan Marri was successful in the February 8 elections and also participated in the Senate elections. On the request, the Election Commission ordered a re-poll at seven polling stations, re-polling was held at seven polling stations on February 16 and Nawab Genghis Khan was declared successful, Nawab Genghis Khan also took oath on February 28.
Justice Ayesha Malik remarked that the role of the Election Commission ends after issuing the notification of the success of the candidates, after that all the disputes of the election will go before the Election Tribunal. tell the
Justice Irfan Saadat asked the lawyer Election Commission whether the ballot papers have been printed or not. The lawyer said that I don’t know yet, I will tell you with information. Justice Irfan Saadat said in his remarks that it is not appropriate to stop the election if the ballot papers have been printed, while Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar said that if the election is held on April 24, then the hearing should be held on the 21st or 22nd.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till April 22 while issuing a notice to the parties.
