New Delhi: A one-and-a-half-year-old child who went into a coma after being submerged in a washing machine full of soapy water for 15 minutes in India was brought back to life on a ventilator 7 days later.
According to Indian media, this miraculous incident happened in the capital New Delhi, where a one-and-a-half-year-old infant, standing on a chair and trying to peek into a washing machine full of soap, fell into it and was drowning for 15 minutes.
When the child was shifted to the hospital, he was unconscious and suffering from severe cold, and was also facing difficulty in breathing. The child was put on ventilator in the intensive care ward when his condition did not improve.
However, after being in a life and death struggle for seven days, the child opened his eyes. He was taken off the ventilator and allowed to go home after more than ten days in the ward.
