The police have registered a case of theft in Defense Phase 8
Karachi: On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr, thieves fled from the house of a retired SSP after stealing 44 lakhs in cash and 25 tolas of jewellery.
According to the police, the accused fled after stealing 25 tola gold ornaments and other items from the house of a retired SSP in Defense Phase 8 Khayaban Faisal. A case has been registered and investigation has been started.
Retired SSP Ghulam Sarwar Abaro, resident of Sahil Police Station, Defense Phase 8, Khayaban Faisal, came to the Sahil Police Station and reported that he had gone to his native village on April 9 for Eid-ul-Fitr, while his children were there on April 10, 2024 around noon. After locking the house at 2:30, he went to his uncle’s house in the garden.
My son Afnan returned home at around 11 pm and saw that the locks and lockers of the room cupboards were open and the money received from the sale of my Vigo was missing Rs 44 lakh. My son Burhan said that the lock and locker of the cupboard were broken and from inside the beauty box, my late wife’s gold ornaments including bangles, bangles, etc., with a total weight of about 25 tolas, including the identity card of son Burhan, CCTV routers were also taken away.
Apart from this, the accused also stole the goods, I am getting information from the children in this regard. After recording the statement of the retired SSP, the Sahil Police started the investigation by registering a case charge number 78/2024 under 457, 454 and 380 against the unknown accused or accused at 10 pm on April 11, 2024.
