Karachi: Korangi police killed 3 robbers during the alleged encounter and recovered weapons, motorcycle, stolen mobile phones and other items.
According to Express News, SSP District Korangi Sajid Saduzai said that the police on patrolling the area near No. 2.5 petrol pump in Korangi area received information that motorcycle-riding robbers were looting. The robbers tried to escape by firing, but the police chased and retaliated, killing 2 robbers on the spot while the third seriously injured robber died on the way to the hospital.
He said that 2 pistols, stolen 9 mobile phones, purses and cash were recovered from the possession of the robbers.
SHO Korangi Amir Malik said that the bandits who were killed in the encounter were identified by 4 citizens, in which one plaintiff is from Zaman Town Bhataiabad, while 3 plaintiffs are from Korangi No. 2 and a half, from whom the bandits robbed.
He further said that the three dacoits who were killed in the encounter had also robbed the citizens outside Cafe Mala in Korangi a few days ago, in which they had snatched more than 15 mobile phones and escaped and the victims arrived at the police station. The series continues.
Amir Malik said that the three robbers are said to be involved in dozens of street crimes in Korangi, Zaman Town and Korangi Industrial Area, while the ages of the dead robbers are between 24 and 28 years, who could not be immediately identified and police bio. Efforts are being made with the help of metric system.
The police have kept the bodies of the three robbers in the cold room for searching the heirs.
