Lahore: On the order of the Supreme Court, while the Abandoned Waqf Property Board is carrying out illegal possession of waqf properties across the country, on the other hand, the Punjab Local Government has modeled on more than 40 kanals of Hindu Dharamshala land under the management of the Abandoned Waqf Property in Gujranwala. It has been decided to build a cemetery.
Exceeding the authority on the order of the Punjab Government, the Board of Revenue has declared this land as a model cemetery, which will give an opportunity to the neighboring country, including the Hindu community living in Pakistan, to blame Pakistan.
According to the details received, Khumoshan city is being built on the 40 kanal 10 marla land of Hindu Dharamshala located in Mauza Khyali Shahpur District Gujranwala, which will be inaugurated in the next few days.
In this regard, the officials of the Abandoned Waqf Property Board said that this land is under the management of the board, no government department can seize the Waqf property, while the Supreme Court of Pakistan also has clear orders in this regard.
According to the board officials, it has come to their knowledge that the Colonies Department has illegally transferred this land to the Local Government Department and now there is a plan to build a model graveyard i.e. City Khamoshan. The Board of Revenue has also given this land as Model Cemetery on 12 January 2024.
Muhammad Javed, administrator of the abandoned Waqf Property Board Gujranwala, while confirming the attempt to seize the land of Dharamshala, said that he has not only informed the Chairman Board about this situation, but a writ is also being filed in the Lahore High Court. .
On the other hand, the Pakistan Hindu Council has condemned this move and said that occupation of Dharamshala will bring disrepute to Pakistan around the world. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif should take notice of this incident.
