Karachi: In Gulshan Mimar, the accused who escaped after robbing a house faced the police, one robber was killed and two injured were arrested in the encounter, the police also recovered weapons and looted property from the accused.
After Isha prayer on Sunday night, armed accused entered the house of (deceased) Anwar-ul-Haq between Sector Z-3 and Z-4, Gulshan Memar, and took women and children hostage and looted cash and gold ornaments.
Meanwhile, the security of Gulshan Mimar saw the accused entering the house and informed the assistant 15 police, upon which the police immediately reached the spot and surrounded the house from all sides.
When the accused came out of the house, the police tried to arrest them, on which the accused opened fire, three robbers were seriously injured by the retaliatory fire of the police, out of which one of the accused died on the spot due to profuse bleeding. The police arrested two injured robbers and shifted them to the hospital.
The police have recovered stolen items and three pistols from the house of the dead and injured accused.
Residents of the area said that the accused rang the bell of the house and as soon as a woman opened the door, the accused entered the house, but seeing them entering the house, the guard alerted the police in time.
According to the police, an accused entered the house again during the fight and was killed by the jawans inside the house, the incident is being further investigated. On the other hand, the local residents raised slogans in favor of the police after killing and arresting the robbers.
