Prime Minister's invitation to Barrack Gold to invest in other mineral projects in Balochistan

According to the statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House Media Wing, a delegation of Barrick Gold Company headed by Chief Executive Officer Mark Bristow met with the Prime Minister. The meeting was attended by Petroleum Minister Mossadegh Malik, Prime Minister Nazir Tarar, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Muhammad Jahanzeb and relevant senior government officials.

The Prime Minister encouraged Barrack Gold to invest in other mineral projects in Balochistan. The Prime Minister suggested that the government and Barrack Gold can work together for the establishment of a technical university in Chagai district. Included.

On behalf of Barrack Gold, the delegation briefed the Prime Minister on the progress made on the Rekodic project and said that the feasibility of the Rekodic project will be completed by the end of this year. is being prioritized.

The company said in the briefing that Barrick Gold has established three schools near Rekodik under Corporate Social Responsibility, so far Barrick Gold has provided technical training to 100 people, including women.

The Prime Minister said that Recodek project will prove to be a game changer for the development of Balochistan and the region, with this project, the development of the province and the prosperity of the people will begin a new era.

He said that in order to take full advantage of the minerals in Balochistan, plans will be made regarding the communication infrastructure, especially the railway line.
