Gwadar: Pakistan Coast Guards recovered weapons and vehicles hidden in sacks in a major operation.
According to the spokesman, on the basis of information from confidential sources, Pakistan Coast Guards conducted a search operation in Sarbandar area of Gwadar, in which 36 Glock pistols hidden in 2 sacks were recovered from the possession of an accused.
During the search of the nearby houses, two cars and a double-barreled shotgun were also recovered. In the operation, 6 suspects were arrested on the basis of involvement in arms smuggling.
Pakistan Coast Guards started legal proceedings after detaining the said weapons, vehicles and accused persons.
Apart from this, Pakistan Coast Guards conducted an anti-trawling operation in the sea in the area of Jiwani, during which the fishing trawler was seized after a 2-hour chase and transferred to the Jiwani jetty.
The spokesman says that Pakistan Coast Guard is always engaged in preventing drug and all kinds of smuggling. Actions to rid the society of the scourge of drugs and illegal arms will continue.
