Landhi police registered a case against husband Tariq on the woman’s complaint
Karachi: The Landhi police have registered a case against the executioner stepfather who sprinkled the 8-year-old girl with petrol and set her on fire.
On February 16, in Kolandhi 36B, the step-father had sprinkled petrol on the 8-year-old girl Vaniya and set her on fire, as a result of which more than 25 percent of her body was burnt.
The girl’s mother hid the matter from the police due to her husband’s fear and sometimes she was treated at Civil Hospital and sometimes at Indus Hospital.
The mother told the police that two years ago I got married to a man named Tariq with whom I have a son.
On February 16, when the daughter came home from tuition, husband Tariq started beating the daughter and started to save the daughter. Then the husband hit me in anger and sprinkled petrol on the daughter and set her on fire. Threatening to kill me.
Landhi Police has registered a case against husband Tariq on the woman’s complaint. Accused Tariq is absconding and search is on.
