Islamabad: Power distribution companies have demanded trillions of rupees for the year 2024-25 for which multi-year tariff applications have been submitted to the Nepra Authority.
Quetta Electric Supply Company has requested more than 236 billion rupees for the year 2024-25. Gujranullah Electric Supply Company has asked for 313 billion rupees and Multan Electric Supply Company has asked for 160 billion rupees.
Peshawar Electric Supply Company has requested Rs 67 billion, while Sukkur Electric Power Supply Company has demanded Rs 35 crore and Tesco has demanded Rs 92 billion.
The demands include salaries, perquisites and post-retirement benefits, while money is also sought for operation and maintenance costs, wellington charges, among others.
Nepra Authority will hear the applications of distribution companies on April 2 and 3.
