Bandit rule in Sindh, more than 200 citizens and traders kidnapped in two months

Karachi: During two months in Sindh, more than 200 citizens and businessmen were abducted by dacoits, out of which 50 were released after paying ransom.

The law and order situation in Sindh does not seem to be among the priorities of the Sindh government of the PPP, nor is there any seriousness in this regard at the government level. And the peace situation has become worse from bad to worst.

Raw dacoits earlier used to kidnap traders and citizens through honey trap and other means but now the boldness of the dacoits is that the dacoits are seen kidnapping and robbing transporters and traders on the National and Super Highways.

More than 200 businessmen and citizens have been kidnapped in Sindh in just two months of this year, out of which more than 50 citizens and businessmen were released after paying ransom.

According to Central Police Office records, 81 people were kidnapped in Sukkur and Larkana range, out of which 59 people were rescued by paying ransom or using other means. In 35 of these incidents, kidnapping cases were registered while 28 cases were not registered at all.

According to records, 26 people were abducted in Ghotki district, out of which 22 were recovered, cases of kidnapping of 15 citizens were registered while cases of 11 incidents could not be registered.

18 people were kidnapped in Shikarpur, out of which cases of kidnapping of 12 citizens have been registered, similarly in Kashmore 37 people were kidnapped and only 11 citizens or businessmen could be rescued, according to police records 27 cases of kidnapping for ransom. There are those that have not yet been resolved.

The caretaker government in the province has left after making loud claims and the PPP government has taken over the command of Sindh, but despite this, no strategy has been made to defeat the dacoits. There has been an increase in robberies in Sukkur.
