The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has filed a petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Alia Hamza against the victory of Hamza Shehbaz of Pakistan Muslim League (N) from National Assembly Constituency NA-118 Lahore in the general elections. Rejected.
The Election Commission issued a written order for the hearing on the petition of Alia Hamza, in which it was stated that the petition of Alia Hamza against the success of Hamza Shehbaz is rejected.
The order said that the petitioners can approach the Election Tribunal, requiring formal investigation into the allegations and recording of evidence.
It should be noted that in the elections held on February 8, Hamza Shehbaz had defeated the PTI candidate, while Alia Hamza had accused the returning officer of rigging to win Hamza Shehbaz and filed a petition in the Election Commission.
