Karachi: Sachal Police formally arrested SHO Zaman Town and 2 officials on the charge of robbery and recovered half of the looted Rs 1 crore 18 lakh.
SSP Investigation Amir Masood Magsi said that 50% of the Rs 1 crore 18 lakh looted from the sale of chalia was recovered by the police after several hours of struggle and registered a case against SHO Zaman Town Rao Rafiq and the dealers. He has been arrested while raids are being conducted in search of the SHO’s informant.
According to the SSP, the victim also allegedly smuggles drugs in and around Sohrab Goth and his entire group. 1 crore 18 lakh rupees were taken away, however, the informant Zafar escaped leaving the officials with his mobile phone due to his bad intentions.
The officers did not know how to operate mobile phones, due to which they were standing on the expressway when the police officers of East District reached, they did not answer satisfactorily and were transferred to the police station.
The SSP said that the next day the victim also reached the Sachal police station, where he snarled and told that last night Zaman Town policemen had snatched a bag full of money from me, after which the matter was taken to the higher authorities. reached and a massive investigation revealed that SHO Zaman Town and his informant were also involved in the money extortion incident. Efforts are on to arrest the informer and recover the money.
