Karachi: The administration of the Federal Urdu University canceled the recruitment and promotion of the teachers as soon as its new chancellor President Asif Ali Zardari assumed the office of the President.

In this regard, the university administration, resorting to the vague and unconfirmed decision of the university senate, has annulled the selection board held during the tenure of the former vice chancellor Dr. Ziauddin and based on the report of the senate committee, the tenure of the former vice chancellor All promotions, appointments, regularizations and creation of new posts are also cancelled.

It should be noted that due to the issuance of these various notifications, severe anxiety has spread among the teachers and employees in Urdu University and the teachers are seen saying that the officers of the former administration are giving the new vice chancellor Prof. They are making decisions by showing their side.

On the other hand, a senior of the university, Farhan Shafiq, while giving his reaction to these relevant notifications, has assured the acting registrar of the university through a letter that none of the three different letters that have come up with the mention of the Senate’s approval. The decision was not taken in the 50th session of the Senate and the wrong decision is being attributed to the Senate.

It is being told that there is a possibility of issuing more such letters after which the status of the letters issued by the present administration will become more doubtful.

It should be noted that according to the letters issued by the acting registrar, the selection board held on September 8 and 9 under the ongoing advertisement of the year 2017 has been canceled and in this regard in the 50th session of the Senate. Reference is made to the report submitted.

It is likely that if this report is fully implemented separately, the salaries of the teachers who passed the selection board in 2021 will also be stopped, these salaries were released from January 2023 during the tenure of Dr. Ziauddin.
