Quetta: The number of deaths in the accidents that occurred during rains in various districts including the capital of Balochistan reached 9.

According to the announcement issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), from February 27 to March 12, rains and snowfall continued in various districts including Quetta, as a result of which 259 houses were completely destroyed while 1040 were partially damaged. Is.

As a result of rains and snowfall, 9 people died in various incidents including roof collapses in Quetta, Kharan, Kech, Barkhan, Chaman and Pishin.

According to the PDM, 80 fishing boats were also destroyed during the heavy rains.

Referring to the meteorological department, PDMA said that during the next 24 hours, Quetta and other districts of Chaman, Ziarat, Pashin, Kalat, Chagai, Sorab, Sabi, Nasirabad, Mastung, Nushki, Loralai Harnai, Sherani, Zhob, Musa. Rain and snow are expected in Khel, Kohlu, Qila Saifullah and Qila Abdullah.

According to PDMA, relief activities are going on in other affected districts including Gwadar, food, tents and other relief materials have been delivered to the affected districts.

On Tuesday night too, snow fell in Ziarat and Sanjawi, due to which the weather became cold, while in Quetta, due to the worst stormy rains, rivers flooded.

The meteorological department says that intermittent rain is continuing in the surrounding areas including Quetta, Kalat, Nasribabad, which may continue for the next twenty-four hours.
