Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says that the time has come to take concrete and positive decisions to deal with the challenges faced and we all have to come together in this regard.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan reached Muzaffarabad today on a one-day visit, where the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on assuming office and expressed his best wishes. A meeting was held between Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwar ul Haq.

Addressing the victims of the recent snowfall and stormy rains, the Prime Minister said that after taking the oath, continuous consultations and deliberations are going on for the improvement of the economy.

The Prime Minister said that the federal government will not sit down with China until the completion of the rehabilitation works in Azad Kashmir. The Prime Minister announced Rs 20 lakh per person for the families of those who died as a result of snowfall and rains and Rs 5 lakh for the injured.

The Prime Minister announced Rs 7 lakh to the owners of completely destroyed houses and Rs 3.5 lakh for the construction of partially destroyed houses. The Prime Minister assured that all the funds should be delivered to the victims by March 13. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also announced to provide helicopters for rescue in any emergency on the demand of the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir.

On the occasion of his visit, Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif assured the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir of Pakistan’s unconditional support for Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiris in their struggle for self-determination.

The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for visiting Azad Jammu and Kashmir as soon as he assumed office. He said that your coming here today to meet the rain-affected people shows that the hearts of Pakistanis are with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
