Prime Minister’s directive to prepare a comprehensive plan to help the victims of stormy rains
Gwadar: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reached Gwadar, a coastal city of Balochistan on a visit.
During the flight, he took a briefing from Chairman NDMA Lt. Gen. Inam Haider Malik on the damage caused by the recent stormy rains in Gwadar and South Balochistan and the ongoing relief operations.
The Prime Minister was also given a detailed briefing on the damage and measures to help the victims in other areas of the country.
The Prime Minister directed to develop a system for early detection of natural calamities through modern technology and satellites, restoration of affected communication infrastructure and detailed assessment of damage to private properties, to submit early reports on the recent torrential rains. A comprehensive plan should be prepared and presented for the assistance and rehabilitation of the victims, and no effort should be left in the rescue and assistance of the victims.
