Lawn: Commercial activities have been restored on Pak-Afghan border Chamanspan Boldak, the citizens have thanked the government and forces of Pakistan for this initiative.
In November 2023, the government of Pakistan announced the implementation of a one-document regime for traffic on the Pak-Afghan border, when the local people staged a sit-in against this policy. Due to the closure of the Chaman border for almost 4 months, a large number of local workers became unemployed, poverty in the area started to increase. Due to the efforts of the government and the Pakistan Army, trade has been restored on the Chaman border.
Citizens expressed their happiness and said that the problems that were there for five months will be reduced now.
Officials of Chamber of Commerce Chaman say that due to the closure of the border, the business community and the government have lost crores, the restoration of trade is welcome.
