Deputy Commissioner Chakwal has said that 2 more injured people died in the accident that happened to the Barati bus near Kallar Kahar in Chakwal, after which the number of people killed in the accident has increased to 14, while 63 people are injured.
He has said that after identification, the dead bodies of 12 people, including 6 women, have been handed over to their heirs, while the identity of 2 dead people has not been found yet.
According to rescue sources, 14 people including 6 women are among the dead.
The accident bus was going from Islamabad to Lahore, Barati was on the bus, the bus had an accident due to brake failure.
According to the Motorway Police, the bodies of the dead and the injured were removed from the bus and taken to the hospital.
According to rescue officials, the bus also collided with 3 vehicles coming from the other track.
On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has expressed regret over the loss of precious lives in the Kaler Kahar traffic accident.
He has also expressed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased through a statement.
Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the concerned authorities to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured persons.
