Karachi: Sessions Judge Larlana resigned from his post citing threats of dire consequences and allegations of pressure.

According to sources, the Sindh High Court has received the resignation of Sessions Judge Larkana Syed Sharafuddin Shah. It has been alleged in the resignation that Munshi had threatened dire consequences for not giving a job to the son of Justice Salim Jessar’s Munshi on Sun Quota.

Giving the reasons for his resignation, the Sessions Judge wrote that there was pressure to issue the order without the required condition i.e. medical check-up. The additional registrar asked to give the appointment letter to the son of Justice Salim Jessar’s secretary on landline no.

It has been said in the resignation that the inspection report of the subordinate courts in Larkana was made viral to ridicule me. The notes written during the inspection by Justice Salim Jasar were also made viral on social media. False notices were written without any proof and notices written during inspection of orders were added to my personal file.

Session Judge Larkana Syed Sharafuddin Shah wrote in his resignation that he has been a part of the judiciary for 27 years, he cannot work in this humiliating environment.
