Quetta: During the ongoing special campaign against electricity thieves and defaulters in various cities of Balochistan including the provincial capital, 99 lakh 22 thousand electricity units were charged as detection fine.
According to Quetta Electric Supply Company (CASCO), actions are being taken against electricity thieves and defaulters in Pashin, Lorelai, Sibi, Khuzdar and Makran operation circles including Quetta.
1919 written requests have been sent to various police stations for legal action against electricity thieves, under which 580 FIRs have been filed so far.
Kisco says that during the special campaign, 99 lakh 22 thousand electricity units have been charged to the electricity thieves in the form of detection fine, the value of which is about 50 crore 79 lakh 49 thousand rupees.
