Islamabad: Despite the court order, the Deputy Commissioner did not appear on the petition against the arrest of Shehryar Afridi under the MPO, on which the High Court issued his arrest warrant.
In the Islamabad High Court, a contempt of court case was heard against DC Islamabad and SSP Operations for violating the court order in the case of exceeding the authority to issue MPO against PTI leader Shehryar Afridi.
SSP Operations Malik Jameel Zafar and SP Farooq Buttar appeared before the court along with Prosecutor Qaiser Imam was also present in the court.

Lawyer Raja Rizwan Abbasi said that DC Islamabad had to go for Umrah as his mother had told him, so Irfan Nawaz Memon is now in Khairpur.
Justice Babar Sattar said that yesterday the court did not approve the request of Irfan Nawaz Memon. Later, the court issued an arrest warrant for Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon.
