A female boxer will compete in the Olympics wearing a hijab this year.
According to the British media, Australian boxer Tina Rahimi will participate in the Olympics held in Paris this year.
Tina Rahimi will be the first Australian boxer to compete in the Olympics wearing a hijab.
27-year-old Tina Rahimi says that I will participate in the Olympics with the Australian team, I was born in Australia, so I am an Australian citizen.
Tina Rahimi says that my parents are Iranian and they came to Australia when they were young, my father came here because of wrestling, he was a champion in Iran and Australia.
“I think being different was a big challenge for me, I feel like I don’t look or dress like others, it’s really hot when I wear hijab,” she said.
Tina Rahimi says that it doesn’t matter what you wear, the end result speaks for itself.
