In Pakistan, the users of the social networking website X (formerly Twitter) are facing severe problems due to the service being affected.
According to Downdetector.pk, a real-time internet and social media outage and monitoring service, X’s service has been down since February 17 at 9 pm across the country.
Users are complaining that they are not able to access X, users say that instead of opening the home page of X, the notification ‘this site can’t be reached’ is visible on it.
Downdetector says it received at least 185 reports of X outages around 9:10 p.m. on February 17, and the number has since increased.
On the other hand, cyber security watchdog, NetBlocks has also confirmed the shutdown of X service in Pakistan.
It should be noted that social media sites including internet services have been shut down several times across Pakistan in the last few days, internet and social media services remain severely affected even on the occasion of general elections 2024.
