Peshawar: In Haryankot area of Dargai, unknown armed men killed Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s security squad in-charge Wakil Khan along with his partner while two children were seriously injured in the incident.
The incident took place in Haryankot, a suburb of Malakand district, when Inspector Wakil Khan was going home on a motorcycle along with his partner and children, when unknown armed men on motorcycles opened fire on them.
After the incident, Malakand Levies sealed the entry and exit routes of the area to arrest the accused. Local people of Haryankot protested against the incident in Dargai Bazar and shouted slogans demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
As soon as the above incident was reported, Wakil Khan’s brother, Subedar (R) of Malakand Levies Saeedullah could not bear the shock and died due to heart attack.
On the other hand, Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice (R) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah directed to investigate the incident and submit a report. He said that the elements involved in the incident cannot escape from the grip of the law and they will be arrested soon and brought to justice.
