Quetta: Caretaker Information Minister John Achakzai, while reacting to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s nomination of Salar Kakar as Chief Minister, has said that Salar Kakar did not participate in the election for the provincial assembly seat.
It should be noted that after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Imran Khan has nominated Mian Aslam Iqbal as the chief ministerial candidate in Punjab and Salar Kakar in Balochistan.
Explaining this, Balochistan Information Minister John Achakzai said that Salar Kaktor participated in the elections for the National Assembly seat in NA-263 but did not participate in the Provincial Assembly seat.

He said that PML-N candidate Jamal Shah Kakar won the seat while Salar Kakar was defeated.
Sources say that the news about Salar Kakar being nominated as Chief Minister of Balochistan is wrong.
