Lahore: The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau has taken into custody a 10-year-old domestic worker who was subjected to violence in Johortown, while a case has been registered against the accused who abused the girl.
According to reports, Gulnaz Fatima, a 10-year-old domestic worker, was tortured in Johortown area.
On receiving the information on 15, the Johartown police rescued the girl and handed her over to the Child Protection Bureau. According to Gulnaz Fatima, she works at the house of a citizen named Javed Iqbal.
Javed Iqbal and his wife Rabab Javed assaulted him, he was beaten with sticks due to which he got injuries on his body. On the screams of the victim of violence, the local citizen called 15-5, on which the police reached the spot and took the girl into custody, while the accused have been arrested.
The Child Protection Bureau also took action after receiving information about the incident of violence against a young domestic worker. According to the chairperson of Child Protection, Sarah Ahmed, the owners tortured the young domestic worker for eating food without permission.
