Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has asked for an affidavit from the candidates who won the National and Provincial Assembly seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in view of the fear that their loyalties will change.

The PTI leadership directed the successful nominees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to submit the affidavit, on which Shahid Khattak, the independent candidate who won the National Assembly seat NA-38, sent the affidavit to the party leadership.

In his affidavit, he wrote that ‘I am a soldier of Imran Khan and will not change my loyalty in any way, I will follow the instructions given by the party.

It should be noted that after the success of independent candidates on the provincial assembly seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PTI has emerged as the majority party, while the number of successful independent candidates of PTI is 92 in the National Assembly as well.

In the National Assembly, the number of successful members of Muslim League-N is 75, the number of candidates of PPP is 54, the number of MQM is 17 and the number of other independent candidates is 4.
