PP workers clashed during celebrations in Lyari, 4 injured

Panic spread in the hospital due to rioting and indiscriminate firing by the armed men

Karachi: Four workers were injured in a clash between two groups while celebrating the victory of the People’s Party in the general elections in Lyari.

Four people were injured during a fight between the workers during a celebration ceremony to celebrate the victory of the People’s Party near Chakiwara No. 2 Shell Petrol Pump.

The injured were shifted to the civil hospital where the workers once again fought. Meanwhile, unknown armed men started firing indiscriminately at the Civil Hospital Trauma Center, but luckily there was no loss of life.

On receiving the information, a heavy contingent of police reached the hospital and controlled the situation. The persons injured during the dispute in Lyari were identified as 30-year-old Gul Hameed son of Gul Hakeem, 26-year-old Muhammad Ali son of Muhammad Ramza, 42-year-old Muhammad Yasin son of Adalat Khan. And 33-year-old Amir Ali, son of Juma Khan, was named.

All the injured are said to be PPP workers. Later, a group of the People’s Party staged a dharna at the square near the Civil Hospital Burns Ward, burnt tires on the road and blocked the roads leading to the Civil Hospital by placing obstacles, due to which the flow of traffic was suspended.

During the commotion, shooting and burning, the police of Eidgah police station was present on the spot, but the police officers and officials played the role of silent spectators.

The protestors demanded from the President of People’s Party Karachi Nisar Khoro and the top leadership that the President of People’s Party District South Khalil Hot should be removed from his post and legal action should be taken against him and dozens of his colleagues.
