PPP got a simple majority in the Sindh Assembly, the results continue to come

Karachi: In the Sindh Assembly, the Pakistan People’s Party has won a simple majority and is in a position to form the government, PPP has become the majority party with 71 seats so far.

According to the results released by the returning officers, MQM has won 5 seats so far while independent candidates have won 6 seats. GDA candidate won 2 seats and Jamaat-e-Islami one seat.

PS1

In PS 1 Jacobabad 1, Sher Mohammad Mughiri of People’s Party won with 48385 votes while independent candidate Sakhi Abdul Razzaq Khoso stood second with 18115 votes.

The percentage of votes cast in the constituency was 37.26% and 3611 votes were rejected.

PS5

In PS5 Kashmore 3, PPP’s Mir Abid Sundarani won with 31 thousand 132 votes while JUI’s Hafiz Rab Nawaz got 21 thousand 52 votes.

In Kashmore-3 seat, the polling percentage was 35.15% and 6091 votes were rejected.

PS6

In PS6 Kashmore 3, Mehboob Ali Khan Bijarani won by getting 86 thousand 365 votes while Abdul Qayyum of JUIF came second with 9945 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 55.26 percent and the number of rejected votes was 4627.

PS8

In PS-8 Shikarpur 2, PPP’s Arif Mehr won with 64016 votes while JUI’s Abid Jatoi was second with 51869 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 62.97 percent and the number of rejected votes was 3378.

PS 10

PS 10 Larkana 1 Faryal Talpur of People’s Party was declared the winner by getting 85 thousand 917 votes while Kifayatullah of Jamiat Ulema Islam stood second with 18 thousand 475 votes.

The voter turnout in the provincial seat was 47.92 percent and the number of rejected votes was 4181.

PS11

In PS-11 Larkana-2, Jameel Soomro, political secretary of Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto, was declared the winner with 41 thousand 158 votes, while Kazem Ali Abbasi of GDA was second with 20 thousand 860 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 36.55 percent and the number of rejected votes was 2704.

PS 12

In PS-12 Larkana, PPP’s Sohail Anwar Sial won by getting 54 thousand 77 votes, while GDA’s Moazzam Abbasi got second place by getting 31 thousand 850 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 46.96 percent and the number of rejected votes was 4736.

PS 19

Independent candidate Nadir Akmal Leghari won from PS-19 Ghotki by securing 55683 votes, Nadir Akmal Leghari was supported by GDA and JUI. Abdul Bari Patafi of People’s Party came second with 441876 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 50.68 percent and the number of rejected votes was 6927.

PS 20

In PS-20 Ghotki, PPP’s Mohammad Bakhsh Meher won with 87,431 votes, while JUI’s Ishaq Leghari stood second with 9,401 votes.

Voter turnout in PS-20 was 47 percent and the number of rejected votes was 3668.

PS 21

In PS 21 Ghotki, Ali Nawaz Mehr of PPP won with 63 thousand 758 votes while Ghulam Ali Abbas of Jamiat Ulema Islam stood second with 29 thousand 273 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 46 percent and 5206 votes were rejected.

PS 22

From PS 22 Sukkur 1, Akramullah Khan of People’s Party won by getting 41 thousand 828 votes while Muhammad Mubeen of Jamiat Ulema Islam was second with 39 thousand 778 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 48.78 percent and 5471 votes were rejected.

PS 26

In PS 26 Khairpur 1, former Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah from People’s Party won by getting 63 thousand 686 votes while GDA’s Imam Bakhsh Phaploto was second with 19041 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 43.95 percent and 3482 votes were rejected.

PS 27

In PS 27 Khairpur 2, Halar Wasan of PPP won with 91 thousand 131 votes while Sharif Barro of JUI was second with 10 thousand 734 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 48.33 percent and 2400 votes were rejected.

PS 33

Hassan Ali Shah of People’s Party won from PS 33 Nowshahru Feroze 2 by getting 60617 votes while independent candidate Rizwan Ahmed came second with 2719 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 46.32 percent and 3808 votes were rejected.

PS 36

In PS 36 Benazirabad 1, Asif Zardari and Faryal Talpur’s sister Ezra Fazal won by getting 75 thousand 866 votes while independent candidate Mir Bahawal Khan Rand got 16 thousand 228 votes.

The voter turnout on the provincial seat was 44.69 percent and 3601 votes were rejected.

PS 43

In PS 43 Sanghar 4, PPP’s Paras Dero won with 67 thousand 851 votes while GDA’s Niaz Hussain stood second with 23 thousand 869 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 42.92 percent and 3097 votes were rejected.

PS 44

From PS 44 Sanghar 5 Shahid Thahim of People’s Party won by getting 60 thousand 385 votes while Muhammad Bakhsh of GDA got 49 thousand 143 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 48.27% and 3395 votes were rejected.

PS 51

From PS 51 Omar Kot 3, Taimur Talpur of PPP won with 58958 votes while Dost Ali of GDA came second with 27725 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 48 percent and 5376 votes were rejected.

PS 57

In PS 57 Matiari 2, Makhdoom Fakhrul Zaman of PPP was declared successful by securing 52 thousand 175 votes while Jalal Shah Jamot of Grand Democratic Alliance was second with 44 thousand 873 votes.

The voter turnout on the provincial seat was 47.34 percent and 3549 votes were rejected.

PS 58

PPP has swept Tandwala Yar. Zia Abbas Shah of PPP won from PS 58 Tindwala Yar 1 by getting 57217 votes while Rahila Magsi of GDA came second with 42587 votes.

The voter turnout on the provincial seat was 48.47 percent and 3734 votes were rejected.

PS 59

In PS 59 Tindwala Yar 2, PPP’s Imdad Patafi won with 62 thousand 771 votes while GDA’s Mohammad Mohsin was second with 29 thousand 325 votes.

Voter turnout on the provincial seat was 52.80 percent and 4375 votes were rejected.

PS 61

Sharjeel Inam Memon of People’s Party won from PS 61 Hyderabad 2 by getting 63 thousand 79 votes while Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam came second with 11368 votes.

Voter turnout on the provincial seat was 42.72 percent and 3177 votes were rejected.

PS 68

In PS 68 Badin 1, Haliputa of PPP was declared successful by getting 63 thousand 348 votes while Mansoor Ali Nizamani of Grand Democratic Alliance was second with 14 thousand 203 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 45.7 percent and 3299 votes were rejected.

PS 69

Results for PS69 Badin 2 are yet to come.

PS 70

Arbab Amanullah of PPP won from PS 70 Badin 3 by getting 44126 votes while Hasnain Mirza of GDA came second with 36861 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 49.18 percent and 6102 votes were rejected.

PS 71

Zulfikar Mirza’s son Hussam Mirza was defeated in PS71 Badin 4. People’s Party’s Taj Muhammad Malah won with 41 thousand 134 votes while GDA’s Husam Mirza got 32477 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 51.03 percent and 5841 votes were rejected.

PS 72

Ismail Rahu of the People’s Party won with 39,849 votes while Amir Hasan of GDA came second with 24,296 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 46.09 percent and 3514 votes were rejected.

PS 73

In PS 73 Sajawal 1, Shah Hussain Shah Shirazi of People’s Party won by securing 72 thousand 942 votes while Muhammad Ismail Memon of JUI came second with 6167 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 40.66 percent and 2334 votes were rejected.

PS 75

In PS 75 Thatta 1, Riyaz Shirazi of PPP won with 80 thousand 744 votes while Muhammad Arshad Memon of JUI stood second with 6 thousand 596 votes.

Voter turnout on the provincial seat was 39.21 percent and 5063 votes were rejected.

PS 77

In PS 77 Jamshoro 1, former Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah won with 74 thousand 613 votes, while GDA’s Roshan Barro was second with 10 thousand 268 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 53.44 percent and 2930 votes were rejected.

PS 78

In PS 78 Jamshoro 2, Sikandar Shoro of PPP won with 51 thousand 188 votes while Munir Haider Shah of GDA was second with 10 thousand 850 votes.

Voter turnout in the provincial seat was 45.38 percent and 1709 votes were rejected.

PS 80

In PS 80 Dadu 1, Abdul Aziz Junejo of People’s Party was successful with 52 thousand 131 votes while Karim Ali Jatoi of GDA was second with 43 thousand 815 votes.

Voter turnout in the provincial seat was 41.9 percent and 5301 votes were rejected.

PS 81

Former Sindh Chief Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi was defeated in PS 81 Dadu 2. PPP’s Fayaz Butt won with 54338 votes while GDA’s Liaquat Ali Jatoi got 46963 votes.

Voter turnout in the provincial seat was 48.07 percent and 4206 votes were rejected.

PS 84

Yousuf Baloch of People’s Party won by getting 25 thousand 348 votes in PS 84 Millar 1 while independent candidate Zain Kolachi was second by getting 13 thousand 437 votes.

Voter turnout in the provincial seat was 44.55 percent and 1385 votes were rejected.

PS 85

Sajid Jokhio of the People’s Party won by getting 27 thousand 791 votes while Pir Hafeezullah of the Muslim League-N came second with 14304 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 42.34 percent and 1365 votes were rejected.

PS 86

Abdul Razzaq Raja of PPP won from PS 86 Malir 3 by getting 15 thousand 17 votes while Muhammad Yaqoob of PML-N came second with 6633 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 39.34 percent and 796 votes were rejected.

PS 95

PPP got seat from Korangi for the first time. Farooq Awan of PPP won from PS 95 Korangi by getting 16386 votes, Farooq Awan is former SSP.

Independent candidate Raja Azhar was second with 11 thousand 27 votes while MQM’s Shamshad Tanoli got 4045 votes.

Voter turnout in the constituency was 38.94% and 1160 votes were rejected.
