Islamabad: On the strict orders of the Islamabad High Court and the intention to postpone the elections due to non-recovery, the police revealed the arrest of Raja Nasir, the brother of Raja Basharat, while the court ordered the PP-11 candidate to appear in the court by 8:30. CP and Rawalpindi and SHO were summoned.
According to the details, a hearing was held on the request for the recovery of Raja Nasir, the brother of former provincial minister Raja Basharat, where the SSP Operations appeared and expressed ignorance about the arrest of Raja Nasir.
He told the court that we do not have the candidate of PP-11 but we got the information about their disappearance through One Five. The court had earlier given an ultimatum of half an hour and indicated to postpone the constituency elections in case of non-recovery.
Later, the judge adjourned the hearing till 7:30 pm, after which the hearing resumed when the state counsel said that Raja Nasir was arrested by the Rawalpindi police station Morgah in the May 10 cases.
The court inquired from the police officials that ‘Why did this action take place in your jurisdiction? Why do such incidents happen in the jurisdiction of Islamabad? You have made the election of this constituency controversial before the elections were held.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir said that elections are going to be held in Islamabad and such incidents should not happen. If these candidates are not elected in the election, then you can say that the election was conducted in a clear and transparent manner?
On this, the lawyer of the Election Commission said that according to the law, the campaign time has ended 24 hours before, if there is no candidate, it will not affect the election.
The State Council requested that the court should direct Raja Nasir to approach the concerned court. On whom there is a case of 9 months ago, he was arrested two days before the election.
Justice Arbab Muhammad ordered CPO Rawalpindi to appear before Raja Nasir by 8:30 pm and also ordered CPO Rawalpindi and SHO Morgah to appear in court in person.
It should be noted that the missing Nasir Raja is participating in the election from PP-11.
