Karachi: The incompetence of the municipal bodies claimed another precious life. Another person died after falling into the storm drain near the Baloch Colony Bridge during the torrential rain in the city.
The body of the deceased was removed from the drain after two days. The deceased was the father of a young daughter and the husband of a speech and hearing impaired woman. The deceased is also said to be a homeopathic doctor. .
According to the details, a drowned body of a person has been found from the rain drain near Shahrah Faisal Baloch Colony Bridge in the area of Tipu Sultan Police Station. According to SP Jamshed Quarter Alina Rajpar, the deceased was identified as 50-year-old Shaukat Naguri son of Anwarnaguri, a resident of Shah Latif Town and father of a young daughter.
The deceased person used to work in buying and selling textile machines. The deceased person died after falling into the drain during the stormy rain in the city on Saturday night. The late Shaukat Naguri is also called a homeopathic doctor.
Faisal, a friend of the deceased, while talking to media representatives outside the Jinnah Hospital mortuary, said that the deceased was my childhood friend and we used to work together. We loaded the machines on Saturday night.
He said that it was our daily routine that the deceased would come to his house and we would go to work and in the evening, Rawazna would drop him off at Shahrah Faisal and the deceased would take bus number 16 and go to his home in Shah Latif Town.
He said that on Saturday night, I left Shahrah Faisal and said that my house is near, let’s go home, but my friend refused and said that I am going home by bus. In the morning, we learned that our friend like our brother has been entrusted to Allah.
He said that there is a drain near the Shell petrol pump. It seems that my friend fell into that drain during the rain. When someone goes from the world, there is a feeling. If someone goes to the administration, then they will feel. They cannot feel before that.
He said that the deceased Shaukat was married some time ago. He has a young daughter while Shaukat’s wife is also speech and hearing impaired.
He said that those who come to ask for votes should not vote, if they want to vote, they should go to Toqbaristan and take their vote from Shaukat.

On Sunday, 35-year-old Bashir Khan, a junk worker near Kominghopir Degree College, was carrying his tin when he fell into a deep pit filled with rainwater and drowned in the street.
