Murree has received up to 0.5 inches of snow in three hours
Peshawar / Islamabad: Rain and snow are continuing in the plains and upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The mountains of all the coldest regions of KP were covered in white. The meteorological department says that the rains and snowfall on the mountains in the province are likely to continue intermittently for two more days.
It rained in Peshawar last night sometimes light and sometimes heavy, while today there are heavy clouds in the city.
More snow has fallen on top of the already existing snow on the Lowari Tunnel in Chitral. Tourists started arriving in Chitral to see the tunnel and snow. Snowfall in Kalash Valleys paves the way for local youth to play creek golf (snow golf).
Upper Chitral Tehsil Latkoh hot spring areas Gabor, Midkalshit, Bagusht while the places of Upper Chitral Trich, Khot, Reach, Brughal are also experiencing snowfall, which has increased the water flow and coldness of the rivers and canals. There is also a fear of disruption of the election campaign due to rain in Chitral and snowfall in upper areas.
Meanwhile, the rain and snowfall continues in Murree. Up to 0.5 inches of snow has fallen in the last three hours and heavy snowfall is expected for the next three to five hours.
On the other hand, light and moderate rains were recorded in different areas of Karachi, while in a few areas, heavy rains were recorded and the rain may continue today.
