The Supreme Court rejected the opposition candidate’s application against approval of the nomination papers of Baloch leader Jamal Raisani.
In the Supreme Court, a hearing was held on the appeal of the opposing candidate after the nomination papers of Baloch leader Jamal Raisani were approved. The hearing was conducted by a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa.
The Chief Justice told the lawyer of the opposing candidate, Ghulam Nabi Marri, to go and defeat in the election, we do not want to block your way, or withdraw the application or we will dismiss it.
The anti-lawyer candidate said that when the election schedule was released, Jamal Raisani was neither a voter nor did he have an identity card.
The court dismissed the petition on grounds of withdrawal.
It should be noted that the Balochistan High Court approved Jamal Raisani’s nomination papers. Opposing candidate Ghulam Nabi Marri had approached the Supreme Court against the approval of Jamal Raisani’s nomination papers.
