Pakistan’s first marathon sanctioned by the World Athletics Federation started in Karachi.
To participate in the marathon, all the athletes reached Nishan Pakistan Sea View from where the marathon started.
Women, men and children also participate in large numbers in Pakistan’s first marathon, four categories have been added in this event.
Full marathon will be 42.2 km, second category will be half marathon of 21.1 km while 5 km fun race and relay race will also be included.
The winner of the marathon will get a prize of Rs 5 lakh.
The excitement of the marathon has made the Sunday off and the early morning chill all but forgotten, with fans flocking to Seaview in large numbers to enjoy the race.
