Peshawar: PTI leader Iqbal Afridi had a bitter conversation with the imam of the mosque for criticizing Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Imran Khan during the Friday sermon at Jamia Masjid in Hayatabad. It went viral.
According to Express News, a video of the commotion during the Friday prayer in Hayatabad Phase 7 Jama Masjid has gone viral, in which bitter words can be seen between the imam of the mosque and PTI leader Iqbal Afridi.
It can be seen in the video that Iqbal Afridi got angry when Imam Masjid spoke against Imran Khan and he stopped Imam Masjid from speaking against PTI founder chairman.
Iqbal Afridi asked the imam of the mosque that you should talk about religion in the mosque, why did you talk about politics, to which the imam of the mosque replied that I have spoken the truth.
Later, after calling the imam of the mosque a hypocrite, the worshipers threw Iqbal Afridi out of the mosque.
It should be noted that Iqbal Afridi is the nominated candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf from constituency NA-27 of Khyber district.
The police say that there was a dispute between the PTI leader and the imam of the mosque, but the worshipers intervened and ended the dispute.
According to the police, no action was taken in this regard as no written complaint or request was received from the residents of the area.
