The accused who smuggled arms took advantage of the darkness and escaped, ANF spokesperson
Quetta: In an operation of ANF, a large number of weapons were recovered from the coastline of Gwadar.
According to the spokesperson of the Anti-Narcotics Force, a large number of weapons have been recovered during a targeted operation against drug trafficking. The operation was conducted in Padizar area of Gwadar’s coastline, where the ANF team saw some persons unloading goods near the shore.
Despite the immediate action taken by the team, the accused managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Later, on inspection of the shipment, it was found that the goods contained sophisticated weapons, which were confiscated.
Among the weapons seized by the ANF are 259 9 mm Glock pistols.
According to the spokesman, the operations are a reflection of the ANF’s determination to tackle threats to national security, in addition to counter-narcotics.
